Mental health
Recent discussion around mental health issues has certainly opened the debate and increased awareness, which is a welcome step in the right direction.
But schools can often find it difficult to cope with a child suffering from poor mental health and the impact on other students can often be of grave concern.
As a result, parents can be reluctant to disclose issues their child might be having, becoming worried that they might be judged, or even asked to leave their school.
Heywood de Ferrer Associates have extensive experience in supporting both parents and schools in:
Getting appropriate diagnoses and relaying these to schools
Eating disorders
Self-harm
Anxiety
Depression, bipolar diagnosis, etc.
Coping with loss or bereavement
